The MFC Digital Account is our login system that will combine the use of multi-digital platforms into one login used by supporters, these include mfc.co.uk, Ticketing and the MFC Official Direct online store. It is designed to integrate the login/signup process to one single account (email address and password) to create easier access to all online services at www.mfc.co.uk, tickets.mfc.co.uk and http://www.mfcofficialdirect.co.uk/ as well as an easier experience for Live Audio/Video streaming services via the Middlesbrough FC Official App and mfc.co.uk. Supporters will also be able to complete and update their personal profile within the MFC Digital Account, as well as select and change their preferences for club communications.
Q: Who needs an MFC Digital Account?
As this will be our only system moving forward, both new and existing supporters must open an MFC Digital Account. An account must be registered before continuing to use the club’s Ticketing and MFC Official Direct online systems, as well as accessing video content on www.mfc.co.uk. It will also be required if you wish to listen or watch our Live Audio/Video streaming service via the MFC website or Middlesbrough FC Official App.
Q: When will I use my MFC Digital Account?
Supporters will need to sign in to their MFC Digital Account when buying Official MFC merchandise through the online store, purchasing tickets on our online ticketing website and to access exclusive video and audio content on www.mfc.co.uk or via the Middlesbrough FC Official App. The MFC Digital Account can also be used to update your preferences with regards to how MFC communicate with you.
Q: I have a Ticketing account and/or mfc.co.uk account. How do I create an MFC Digital Account?
For supporters with existing Ticketing and/or mfc.co.uk accounts, you still need to create a new account; however, you should use the email address you already have registered with your Ticketing account and a fresh password of your choice.
Follow the link to ‘Create Account’ and enter your details on the page – confirming email and password in the fields provided. Please ensure the email address is the same that we currently hold for you at the Ticket Office otherwise you won’t be able to link your existing accounts and information such as purchase history will not be carried over to the new MFC Digital Account.
You will receive an email to the email address provided with a secure link to click asking you to ‘confirm email’. Click on this link, then sign in with your email and password, complete your preferences and your new MFC Digital Account is ready to go.
Q: Can I sign-up for an MFC Digital Account with my social media account?
Supporters can sign-in using their Facebook or Google+ account.
Follow the instructions from our Guide here and when appropriate, click on the Facebook or Google+ icon on the registration page.
Depending on whether you are ‘signed in’ to the social provider, you may be prompted to sign-in and allow permissions. If you are signed in already, your account will be automatically created using the email, forename and surname from the social provider. It’s as easy as that!
Q: I have created an account but I haven’t received the confirmation email?
If you have created an account with your own email and password, we will send you a confirmation email to the email address you provided. Until you receive and action this email, you will see the ‘Awaiting Confirmation Email’ page. When you receive the confirmation email, there will be a secure link ‘Click here to activate your account’ in the email which you need to click on to confirm your email. This will then open up a new browser tab for you to login with your email and password for the first time. This is verification check to ensure the email is legitimate and belongs to you.
Please note, it may take a few seconds or minutes for the email to arrive in your inbox. If you do not receive your email, please follow the next steps:
Add [email protected] to your safe senders list and retry sending the email from the link ‘click here to resend email’ on the ‘Awaiting Confirmation Email’ page.
If you have left the ‘Awaiting Confirmation Email’ page and you want to go back to resend the confirmation email, log in again with your email and password chosen, and as you have not yet confirmed your email, you will see the ‘Awaiting Confirmation Email’ page where you can click the link to resend.
If none of the steps above work, please contact the club on 01642 929421 or email [email protected]. In a few cases the email may be being blocked by your email service provider. Club staff will be able to check this for you and resolve the issue.
Q: I am unable to click on the link in the confirmation email?
Some email clients or systems may deliver the email but ‘disable’ the ability to click on any links in the content. If you have received the email but cannot click on the link, try:
right-clicking on the link, and select from options to ‘open hyperlink’, or ‘copy hyperlink’ and paste in to a browser address bar and go.
Q: I’m still having trouble authenticating my account. What can I do?
Another way to register would be to use your Facebook or Google+ account, which do not require email validation. However, if you wish to change and use a different email to your social sign-in email, validation will become necessary on the other email address. Alternatively you can email [email protected] or call the Ticket Office on 01642 929421 who can look into the problem for you.
Q: What about my old accounts for Ticketing, mfc.co.uk and MFC Official Direct?
The MFC Digital Account will replace all of your existing accounts. Going forward, any login or registration requests from the club website, Ticketing or MFC Official Direct will automatically redirect you to your new MFC Digital Account. All of your previous separate accounts will be linked
(view process for linking accounts) and will include your purchasing history.
Q: Will I need to login every time with the MFC Digital Account?
No, once you have logged in on your chosen device, the mfc.co.uk, Ticketing and MFC Official Direct websites will automatically remember your details each time you visit or move between the websites. Please note that if you change device (i.e. tablet, mobile, desktop) you will need to login again.
Q: What is the process for linking existing ticket and/or retail accounts?
For linking to a retail account, you will need to click "Link Account Number" from your profile page within our MFC Direct website to initially visit the online shop where you will be prompted to link. On subsequent logins, you will be automatically logged into the retail site once signed into MFC Direct.
Q: What if the number next to my account within the Ticketing site doesn’t match my Season Card Boro Ref?
If the number next to your name within the Ticketing site does not match your Boro Ref then you have not linked your MFC Digital Account to the correct Ticketing account. You can press the ‘Not you?’ next to the number and can proceed to unlink the account. Then you will need to re-link your account ensuring you type in the correct Boro Ref.
Q: How do I buy tickets once I have an MFC Digital Account?
